California College Transfer Resources

Passed on September 29, 2010, the SB 1440 law guarantees that California community college students who graduate with at least a C average will be guaranteed admission to a California State University with junior status. This is a major step forward for a state where every university campus is responsible for creating its own articulation agreements.

For state school transfers, California also provides ASSIST, an online resource with up-to-date information about transferable credits between California Community Colleges and California’s public four-year universities. For transfer between private universities and/or out-of-state schools, contact each school directly to confirm its credit transfer policies.
